What are the five best life lessons you’ve learned?

I’m a TOTAL nerd when it comes to personal growth, so at any given time, I’m usually reading a couple of books, working with at least one coach and participating in a programme (or three, as the case is right now 🤣).

At the weekend I was on a call for one of these programmes, and the facilitator asked…what are the five best life lessons you’ve learned?

And then gave us all of two minutes to write our answers down! Er….ok… 🤯

Here’s what I came up with in the moment:

(When I sat down to write this article, I started wondering if these were truly my five best life lessons…maybe I should give them some more thought…perhaps I should… And then I thought – screw it! This is what came up, and when we did multiple choice quizzes as kids they always told us to go with our first answer! So here I am, going with it…😂)

  1. You are not your thoughts

  2. Literally everyone is extraordinary (even if they’ve forgotten it, or not worked out how yet)

  3. How you spend your attention is even more important than how you spend your time

  4. How you manage your energy is everything

  5. You're not responsible for anyone else's feelings (and they’re not responsible for yours)

So, go on…put 2 minutes on the clock. What are the five best life lessons you’ve learned?

Email me your answers hello@changefoundry.org.uk – I’ll bring them all together in a future article and we can share our collective wisdom.

Here’s another question for you…

When you look at your five life lessons….how could you live into them more this week?
